The whole history of Science has been the gradual realisation that the events do not happen in an arbitrary, but that they reflect a certain underlying order, which may or may not be divinely inspired.
THE BIG BANG theory or at now we can say it to be the theory of Everything is a theory which has been proposed to explain the birth of our universe of which we are the most intelligent and evolved lifeforms as far as we know till date.
The Big Bang theory claims that the universe formed about 14 Ga(Billion years before present) or 14 × 10^9 years before!!!!!!! and it evolved from a single point of Infinite Density which we call SINGULARITY in the language of Mathematics.
The Cosmologist often propose the early Universe as Hot Big Bang Model according to it the early universe was thought to be infinitely Hot and of zero mass. But as the universe started expanding, the temperature of the radiation decrease. One Second after the Big Bang, it would have fallen to about 10,000 million degrees. This is about 1,000 times the temperature at the centre of the Sun, but temperatures as high as this are reached in H-bomb explosion.
According,to the Russian Physicist Alexander Friedmann or Friedmann model, one finds that as the universe expands, any matter or radiation in it's gets cooler right back to the Big Bang( When the universe doubles in size, it's falls by Half). According to Stephen Hawking, with only a few hours of the Big Bang, the production if Helium and other elements would have stopped. And after that for the next million years or so the universe would have just continued expanding without anything much happening. Eventually, once the temperature had dropped to a few thousand degrees, and the electrons and nuclie no longer had enough energy to overcome the electromagnetic attraction between them. (Since the primordial universe contained only photons, electron and neutrinos( extremely light particles that are affected only by the weak force and gravity). Expanding universe by Nat Geo-
The Universe is expanding as proposed by Edwin Hubble in 1929 i.e.-the universe as whole have continued expanding and cooling, but some regions would have actually denser than other and expanson slowed down there by extra gravitational
attraction.This would eventually stop expansion in some regions and cause them to start to collapse. As the collapsing region got small, it might start rotating faster as skater spinning on ice spin faster as they draw their arms. Eventually when the region got small enough, it would be spinning fast enough to balance the attraction of gravity and in this way disc-like rotating galaxies were formed. Other regions, which did not happen to pick up a rotation would become oval-shaped objects called elliptical galaxies.
Our identity in the world of Cosmology is that we the most intelligent and evolved lifeforms of Universe are part of the MILKYWAY Galaxy which contain about 100-400 billion stars, of which Sun is a trifling star although it contains about 99.86% of the total mass of our solar system which formed about 4.6 Ga (billion years before present) from the collapse of a giant molecular cloud(Nebula, it contains gas, ice and dust). According to it Planetsimals formed by accretion with the primordial Earth and after various process, Earth evolved to present day habitable conditions.
The DARK matter & Expanding Universe!!!
The early notion of the Universe was that it is STATIC, even Newton thought that Universe is Static, and Einstein also introduced some constant in his The "General Theory of Relativity" to make it compatible with Static Universe.
But, all the misconceptions were cleared when Hubble in 1929 measured the distance of various galaxies through DOPPLER EFFECT (Used to measure what is coming towards us moving away from us) and he mostly observed Red-shift(moving away) in galaxies and concluded that the universe is expanding.
The discovery that the universe is expanding was one of the great intellectual revolution of the 20th century.
The Russian Physicist Friedmann predicted all these before Hubble .
Our universe is expanding between 5% and 10% every thousand million year. However our uncertainty about the present average density is very greater. If we add up the masses of all the stars that we can see in our galaxy a d other galaxies, the total is less than 100 times of the amount required to halt the expansion of the universe, even for the lowest rate which is lower than the Critical Expansion rate which is lower to halt expansion.
So our Galaxies must, however contain a large amount of Dark matter, that we can not see directly but which we know must be there because of the influence of it's gravitational attraction on the orbits of stars in the Galaxies.
Misconception on The Big Bang
Many people believe that it is the theory which completely and correctly explains everything about the universe but yes we can surely say that it the most widely accepted theory of the present day. It may possible that may some new theories about the formation of the Universe come and there may be requirement of modification in the Big Bang theory, and we must remember that nothing is absolute in Science and things are always here on the track of refinement.
