Indian Independence : A Less Travelled Road

#Unwavering Love for freedom..

#In 1947 per capita income was just ₹250.
Five Year Plan played key role in development of our country which was very good effort by our leaders.

We are ready to celebrate our 74th anniversary of Independence. From the shackles of cruel, inhumane and brutal policies of Britishers who were oriented towards their own comfort and well being, always demeaned and harassed Indian during colonial  period slowly filled the Indians with huge anger and despondency and then Indian couldn't tolerate anymore because everything has limit... and protested, revolted, disobeyed and even burnt the British goods which truly shook the foundation of British Empire in India in the revolt of 1857,also popularly know as First Freedom Struggle of India and made the Britishers to be realised that they couldn't rule forever on India and they have to leave India free at any cost, because Indians were ready to move HEAVEN AND EARTH to achieve Freedom.

First Freedom struggle of India i.e. revolt of 1857 onset with the culmination of unrest and anger in firing by Mangal Pandey on his Major and disobeying the orders of their superior and many soldiers even left their regiment to show solidarity with the freedom for India but with huge military and gun power Britishers suppressed first freedom fight of India. But
We were INSANE FOR FREEDOM AND WE HAD TO ACHIEVE a d we DID IT. One of the major cause of revolting by the soldiers were that they were very angry because the bullet of their guns were encased with the flesh of cow and pig and it was very painful for Hindus and Muslims .
We struggled day and night to achieve freedom from Britishers. But to pacify such protest and struggles they followed various crook policies like Dividing people of  Communal line which most probably drawn a bold line of separation in Hindus and Muslims which persist even today i.e. very unfortunate.
The solidarity of Hindus and Muslims were reflected in the revolt of 1857.The contribution of our leaders were great in achieving freedom from Britishers to name some--- MAHATMA GANDHI, LIAQUAT ALI KHAN, SARDAR VALLABH PATEL, JAWAHARLAL NEHRU, MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD, and much more . You can comments more names in comment. Their contributions and sacrifices were unparallel.

A very good report by Rajya sabha TV--

With their cumulative efforts and perseverance to achieve freedom. And we destined to witness the day of freedom from British Rule. On the mid-night of 14-15 August 1947,when the world was sleeping. India was busy in celebrating it's freedom from shackles of Britishers and East India Company.
Pt. Nehru delivered the "TRYST WITH DESTINY" with speech proclaiming India's Independence.

"Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment, we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity".

— Tryst with Destiny speech, Jawaharlal Nehru, 15 August 1947

Let See, how much Progress have been made since Independence? Where we stand today?

When India was declared Independent from the Britishers in 1947,we was totally impoverished, exploited and demeaned by the Britishers and consequently we was a bit like pauper characterised by lack of food, health, basic facilities of living were not destined to us.

Let's first discuss the backbone of Indian economy, the agriculture from very ancient time has been one of the major activities of people of India. During British colonial period, the agriculture sector, small peasants were greatly exploited in the name of taxes which was totally absurd and forced to comply with the inhumane rules of Britishers. Farmers were forced to give LAGAAN, an injustfiable and inhumane type of tax by the Britishers.
The Bengal famine of 1943 under the British Rule was one of the most severe famine of 1943 which killed over 3 million people. There was no help from the Industrial sector, so the agriculture sector under the British Rule was disaster for people of India. So after Independence India felt the need of becoming Self-reliant  and self-sufficient in the food grains so that we didn't have to ask for food grains from countries like USA, Russia China and many others. So India ushered various agricultural equitable policies which started a kind of Green Revolution(Father of Green revolution-- M. S. Swaninathan). It began with the decision to adopt superior yield using disease resistant wheat varities in combination with better farming knowledge to improve productivity. The Green Revolution in India market a period of time when agricultural practices shifted from traditional practices to more technological methods.
In 1965-66, total contribution if wheat grain in Total food grain production was 16.6%.In 1984-85, the contribution of wheat soared high up to 32.7% in total food grain production. In 2017-18, total wheat produced steeped up to 279.51 million tons now we have surplus stock of wheat in our Country and we even export to other countries. On 17 Nov, 1960,first Agricultural University of India was established in Pant Nagar.
In 2017-18, Rice production was 112 million tons. In 1960-61, Rice production was just 1000kg/hectare now in 2017-18 , it has increased to 25,000kg/hectare.In short we can say that we have made a Phenomenal progress since Independence in Agriculture become Self-reliant.

A changes in last decade---

In 1947,average life expectancy was just about 32 years because of poor health facilities, inadequate food and several other reasons now we should proud as our life expectancy has increased to about 65 years due to a better health infrastructure and food security.

With the launching of first rocket on November 21,1963 in Tumba, Kerala. India set it's foot in Space with, now we have set our foot on Mars, Moon. From being dependent on launching our satellite on the mercy of other countries like America, Russia, now are Self-reliant in this task and we have our own launching rockets which is even launching the satellite of other countries of the world. We are now one of major players in the field of Space and Technology. We have created a robust and advanced space equipment in our country. We have even developed our own NAVIGATION SYSTEM NaViC which will be soon functional. The Indian Space Program was deeply  enriched by Gems like Vikram Sarabhai, Homi J Bhabha, Satish Dhawan, APJ Abdul Kalam, and many other eminent scientific minds.
In Defence sector for it's advancement and to become self-sufficient we have established DRDO which has network of laboratories across the India to become Self-reliant in defence weapons of advanced technology. Before Independence we had only 18 Armament Factories in India. Now we have 41 Armament factories of which 9 has been related to defence in Public sector.
We have also made phenomenal development in our Education sector. In Education sector we have a great change you can read--

Changes in Indian Education changes since Independence

As per 2015 Credit Suisse report, the Indian Armed Forces is the world's fifth-most powerful military, whereas the 2020 GlobalFirepower report lists it as the fourth most-powerful military.

Do comment which you think is a phenomenal development in India...

CAREER IN ASTRONOMY and COSMOLOGY .......

Career in Astronomy and Cosmology #Universe #Cosmos It is easy to talk about person, place or thing around us, but not so easy as everyone finds it hard to talk about "UNIVERSE" and beyond our planet the EARTH. Do you ever thought, you are fortunate enough to be dweller of the Earth? Do you know, Earth is the only planet till now which has favourable condition for sustaining life? We are frequently hearing these days, universe is expanding, Mars has potential to sustain life, asteroid will hit the earth or it will pass very close to Earth and other celestial events, how and who interpret and explore these things and what we call them who practices these profession. We will come to know in further paragraphs. But, may sceptical people retorts, why we are wasting our money on such irrational things as compared to more pressing issues like poverty, poor health infrastructure, and many other needs but they fail to understand that the rate at which we are currently multiplying o...

THE PLATE TECTONICS : THE DYNAMIC NATURE OF EARTH ๐ŸŒŽ

The Plate Tectonics : The            Dynamic Earth #UnderstandingGeology #UnderstandingEarth Image credit--USGS Introduction In Geologic terms, a plate is a large rigid slab of solid rocks. The word "Tectonics" comes from the Greek root to build. Putting these two words to together, we get the term Plate Tectonics, which refers to How the Earth's surface is built of Plates. In much the same way that geographic borders have separated, collided and been redrawn throughout human history, tectonics plate boundaries have diverged, converged and reshaped the Earth throughout it's geologic history. Today, Science has revealed that the Earth's surface is in a constant state of change. We are able to observe and measure mountains risings and eroding, ocean expanding and shrinking, volcanoes erupting and earthquakes striking. In order to explain these fatal natural disasters the whole Geo-scientific community started to search for the reason why such geologic ...
