       The GANGES- ORDEAL amid JOURNEY

Emanate in the Holy Gangotri glacier,
To set it's journey through Terrain & Plain,
Descend From Mountainous abode,
To satiate and solace the Mankind.

Come with crystal-clear water,
To make it's surrounding watershed,
Fertile and densely populated,

Winds through Northern India,
Making it's Plain Golden Bowl of Paddy.

The Sacred for Hindu dietes,
And Mother For us,
Sustains body and soul of,
The Subcontinent dwellers.

Travelling a whopping distance,
Along worshipper & devotees,
To cherish and worship it's majesty,
And to Hug it's profuse love.

From Crystal-clear water,
To Mud,Sand, Cobbles, Gravels,Boulders
Brimmed with Plastics & Sewage
Choked it's path.

Fallacy of people to think,
Sacred river is Immune to pollution,
Is Illogical Environmental Conundrum;
The Ganges Paradox.

It's journey turns into disgusting experience,
Repentance and Darkness shackles it's crystal -clear water,
Reluctant to Go ahead,
Sadly kisses the Ocean.
